WPPA Awards (Wyoming Professional Photographers of America)

"Beary Cute" received 2nd place on

"Mother's Embrace" I received 3rd on

"Inner Strength" I received 3rd place on

I went to the Wyoming PPA conference in March. I found this group of amazing photographers last year. I am so glad I did. They are great. I love that we can get together and share and help each other out! I took a few classes, learned lots and I entered the print competition for the first time this year. I did pretty good for a new comer. Next year will be even better! I was also put on the board as a board member. Wow what on honor. I am a little scared to be on the board but happy too.
I received 4 awards. I received 3 place on the flamingo print, 3rd place on the male portrait, 2 place on the baby, and received the New Comer-or First Timer Award! It was pretty cool! Next year I want to do Lots Better-that is the point of the print competition. It is to help you get better-it teaches you what you are doing wrong or could change to make it better! :)

Sunshine Photography - Whats New?

Well I am sorry for not staying caught up on my blogging. I have been very busy! I have moved the studio again. I found a really nice and bigger location. I am now located at 110 East 21st.
I really love my new studio! It is much bigger so I can get bigger groups and taller people inside now :)
I have been staying busy with all kinds of sessions. I have had Lots of newborns in here, a few last minute senior sessions, a couple families, and then I just held a Cutest Kid contest and had 34 kids signed up and photographed! You can check out my face book page for the details and voting for the contest.
My son has been playing soccer as well and this is his last year-he is a senior-I can't believe it. So I have been in and out of the studio. I maybe have to change my hours to by appointment only! With the weather changing, and lots of sessions outside I can not be in the studio all the time! So if you don't caught me there in the morning-please give me a call and I will be happy to meet you there or set up an appointment!
Now that things have some what slowed down I will try to stay caught up on blogging! :)
Remember you can follow me on Face Book-

Trying to stay caught up!

Here are my favorites from the last few sessions this month! Wow -it has been busy-lots of babies, seniors, families and weddings! I have few sessions I have not posted yet!

This little guy was so cute and easy to work with!

This very pretty little angel was wide a wake
and I really enjoyed having her in the studio. I just love the look
on her face for this one! To cute.

This little guy came really early-he wasn't due until Jan but came into this world
on Christmas eve. His name is Hunter and dad loves Hunting so of course we
needed to do a hunting scene.

What a great looking couple! I had lots of fun with wedding-it was
to cold to be outside long so we did a few at the studio. This was one of the fastest
and easiest weddings I got to do. The couple was very laid back and fun!

It took me a while to get a smile from this little cutie! Once he got his cake
he had a blast! MMM...Cake!

This family is always fun. They let me try new stuff!
I am so glad the girls smiled and didn't cry this time! They are
a great family!

I can't believe this beauty is one already!
She has been a joy to watch grow. I loved this outfit too!

This little was one of the hardest babies I had to work with-he was so tiny and cute.
He had a broken collar bone so it was so hard to pose him and he didn't want to
sleep either. But we still got some great shoots of him!

This is so awesome-so cute! This is my favorite pose and I can't get
every baby to do it. I was so pleased that I got him to do it-this is
just too cute!

Wow this little guy is such a cutie-and I love his blue eyes.
6 weeks old one of the older babies I have worked with and I thought he
would be hard but he was so easy!

I have had a lot of seniors waiting until the died line to get in to
get their photos done. I had a good time with Zac-he had some great ideas!

It has been very busy here at Sunshine Photography. I have had lots of sessions and I am trying to get ready to go on a trip to the PPA conference. I am very grateful to have such wonderful clients! I am planning on being gone Jan 13th-Jan 22. I will be back in the studio Jan 23rd. I am hoping to learn lots of new things so I can continue to bring you the best! :) When I get back into the studio I will have all the New things posted-I have changed up the setting fees some, but kept the print pricing the same. I am hoping to have some new products as well!
I am running a 2 valentine specials right now. One for the kids, families and pets. And one for Just the Ladies. Give me a call for the details or check my facebook page for more details!
Thank you to all my clients who have made my business what it its!

I am looking forward to the new year and all the great things happening in 2012. I am going to be closed for about 2 weeks in Jan. More Babies!

Baby girls have been the only babies I have had in the studio for a while now.
I am beginning to wonder where the boys are. Not sure but I just love working with babies.
They are so small and sweet. These are my favorites from the session. She slept the whole time too. She woke up right as we were finishing up. She was perfect!

Class of 2012

This is my son-He is such a cutie! He has gotten so tall.
He is so awesome to let me try new stuff with him.
I told him while he has the body and muscles he needs to show them off. lol
So he let me do some with no shirt-he sure is glad too-he actually likes them-they are his favorite.

Dylan was so laid back-I went to his farm to do pictures. Most guys don't care about
senior photos and do this for their moms. He did great.

Matty was so much fun-she had a hugh list of ideas that she wanted.
She really worked the camera and I didn't have to do much posing-she rocked her session.
She was willing to try whatever. I had a lot of favorites with her.
Thanks Matty!

For this session I got to go up to Esterbrook to Franks families cabin.
It was so pretty up there. It was very sunny and hot but we had a good time.
There were a lot of great spots to do photos. I hope to go back up again sometime.
Frank has some amazing blue/green eyes.
He was up for whatever-like most guys-its for mom.

Chris wanted to use his car-love his new car. We wanted a dramatic sky and of course when we got up and went out for his session there was not clouds in sight. So I added the sky to this one.
It turned out pretty cool. I had a good time with Chris and his family-friends!

It's that time again-Back to school! Class of 2012 sessions have began!

My son is going to be senior this year as well. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I remember the days he was so small and now he is taller then me. It makes me sad and happy all at once.

I have had some fun senior session this last week - I enjoying photographing seniors-I want them to stand out, have fun, show who they are. Here are a few of my favorites so far!

Keeping Busy- More Babies!

What a pretty and sweet 5 day new baby girl!
I love working with babies-I really enjoyed this family last night.
They let me try new things and let be creative and
I love that when the families let me do that.
I think I get better photos when I have fun, let lose and enjoy. When I have fun so does the family!

This little one is so sweet and cute!
3 months old and very alert and strong!
I just love her big brown eyes and cheeks!

This little guy is so cute and funny!
Just look at those Big beautiful Blues eyes!
Got love his little dimple in his chin too!

I am very grateful and blessed to have such wonderful clients!
I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for all of you!
Thank you!

WPPA Summer Shoot Out!

Wow did I have a great time at the WPPA shoot out! I got to go to Sheridan, WY which is a beautiful place and work and learn from some Amazing photographers. I learned tons, can't wait to try out some of the things I learned. We had some wonderful models to work with as well!
Thank you to everyone who was there! I am truly amazed at the talent and blown away how nice all the photographers were and the fact that they were willing to share some of their ideas. I am so glad that I found this group! I hope to keep learning, sharing and meeting wonderful people on the way.

I am glad I got to step out of the box and try something new and different. I loved to see all the photographers photos and the spin they put on their work. It is so cool to see their vision and how it is different from mine. Each photographer had his own style and you could see that in the file images. Above is some of the photos I took. I took over 1000 photos while I was there. WOW-couldn't of done that with film-lol

I can't wait until next year. See all of you great photographers at our next get together!
Thank you again for everything!

Little Miss Bella!

I thought this was so cute. She was smiling and laughing and we didn't know what she was looking at so I thought it would be fun to add the butterflies. They match her cute little blanket.

What a doll! I was so happy when her mom said lets do some photos outside.
I was really needing to get out of the studio and have some fun!
This little cutie was fun-
She didn't like the feel of the tutu and wouldn't touch it.
I have been wanting to try this tutu and chair out for a while now and haven't found anyone that would let me until now! :) I am glad I got to try it out-she looks so adorable in it!

I was getting so worried when I couldn't get her to smile. She is signed up for the baby plan so she comes every 3 months and every time she has been in I haven't been able to make her smile or anything. So I was so happy that she smiled for me this day! :)

I added the sun flare to this one-its a very summery feel to it!

Newborn Beauty!

This one is one of my favorites from this session.
Well I had lots of favorites but this one is just sweet! Oh so sweet.
Gotta love a sleeping baby.

Newborns are one of my favorite to photograph. I love the moms that come in and say have fun, do something different. I love to play around and do different things and try out new things.
This sweet little beauty was oh so sweet. So was the big sister-what a cutie!

Fun family-outdoor session

What a pretty family. I was so happy that the weather was nice and we got to do something different. I played around with the photos a little and wanted to try something new.
It was a lot of fun with working with this family.
